I think it is used for drying tobacco leaves. It is made out of wood and it was used during colonial times.

It is a candle mold. Made in the late 1700’s - early 1800’s. A household article pioneers used to make candles. To have LIGHT!

Congratulations! It is a candle mold. If you want to know more about this…go see your Social Studies teacher or….come by the media center to find a book on candle molds from the colonial period! Hint the book will me found in the 900’s (non-fiction.) Happy hunting! Make up one interesting fact about this topic and post your response!
